Sports Field Fencing Installation at Papago

Located on the Northwest corner of McDowell Rd. and 64th St., and opened in 1988, Papago Sports Complex is the future home of the San Francisco Giants training facility. The City of Scottsdale anticipates project completion in the Spring of 2023.

Since construction began in the summer of 2019, substantial improvements such as new ball fields, sports field fencing, and trail enhancements have been made to the facility, with the help of fence contractors like Biddle & Brown Fencing Company.

Biddle & Brown Fence’s installation crews have been involved in constructing several of the complex’s new and renovated sports fields, as seen in the San Francisco Papago Park Fields video recorded in December 2020.

What is Sports Field Fencing?

Sports field fencing, also known as athletic field fencing, is a versatile, weather-resistant, and cost-effective option for securing your field of dreams and controlling visitor traffic. Chain-link is often the preferred material choice for surrounding the field, creating home and visitor dugouts, and fabricating tall backstops.

Chain-link permits visibility of these areas, ensuring spectators don’t miss a moment of the action-packed game, simultaneously allowing them to view and cheer for their favorite team. This fence type can also be installed along running tracks, tennis courts, softball fields, basketball courts, and other sporting areas.
